Eastern Theological Seminary was founded in 1991 in Lynchburg, VA, as a non-profit Religious Institution of post secondary education.  ETS offers a unique theological education which strives to balance theoretical education knowledge with practical skills in ministry.

Eastern Theological Seminary New Jersey Extension began classes in the fall of 2002.

The mission of ETS New Jersey Extension is to prepare women and men, laity and bi-vocational pastors, for innovative ministry and outstanding Kingdom service as a collaborative training partnership with each student's local church.  The primary objectives at ETS are to promote and cultivate excellence in academic scholarship and high quality research, while simultaneously increasing the opportunities for students to become for knowledgeable and skillful in ministry.


ETS promotes a deeper understanding of God's Word, academic excellence and foundational doctrine in scholarship, training and development for ministry in the church, the development of vision for the church's mission and ministry, and the development of educational and leadership resources.


ASSOCIATE DEGREE PROGRAM

A High School diploma or GED required for entrance into the Associate Degree Program.


BACHELORS DEGREE PROGRAM

Applicants desiring entrance into the Bachelor's Degree Program must have completed the requirements for a High School diploma or GED. All students are required to complete the Application for Admission. Official transcripts of all high School and College work should be sent to the Office of Admissions. The necessary application fee should also be submitted with the application.


MASTERS DEGREE PROGRAM

All Masters Programs require satisfactory completion of a Bachelors degree from an approved College, University, or Seminary. All students must submit the appropriate application for admission along with transcripts of previous college work and the appropriate application fees.

DOCTORAL PROGRAM

Students enrolling in the Doctoral Program must possess a Master of Divinity or Masters of Theology degree from an approved College, University, or Seminary. Students should demonstrate a competence in theological and Biblical studies. All students must complete and submit an application for admission, fees, and transcript of previous work.


TRANSFER STUDENTS


Students transferring from approved Seminaries and Colleges are subjected to an evaluation of transfer credits. As a general rule, such transfer credits will be approved only if comparable courses are offered in the curriculum at EASTERN. Transfer credits allowable will be evaluted by the Admission Committee.


Any person desiring a transcript evaluation for transfer credit prior to matriculation should request such in writing accompanied by an official transcript, a list of proposted courses projected for transfer, and a copy of the Academic Catalog where the courses were taken.
